Roadside bomb kills 16 in south Somalia - 4/9/12



A roadside bomb explosion in southern Somalia has killed at least 16 people and wounded many more, mostly women and children, officials say.
The attack occurred at a vegetable market in the town of Baidoa on Monday.
This is the latest in a string of blasts that have recently rocked the war-torn country.
On Wednesday, at least 10 people were killed and many wounded when a bomber attacked the National Theater in Mogadishu.
Somalia has not had a functioning government since 1991, when warlords overthrew former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre.

Car bomb kills 38 in northern Nigeria - 4/9/12



A car bomb has exploded in the town of Kaduna in northern Nigeria, killing at least 38 people and injuring scores of others.
The Sunday blast happened after Nigerian security forces stopped a car from approaching a church in the town of Kaduna.

Egypt-Israel gas pipeline targeted for 14th time - 4/9/12



An Egyptian pipeline supplying gas to the Israeli regime and Jordan has once again been hit by a major explosion, which is the fourteenth attack on the energy link since January 2011.
The attack on the gas pipeline, which crosses the Sinai Peninsula, occurred on Monday in the northern Sinai at the entrance of the Mediterranean coastal town of Al-Arish, Reuters reported.
